Tell me not to feel bad/guilty about myself…I have not been following my 15K training/healthy eating plan due to the fact that this is finals week, and in the back of my mind I keep beating myself up over this. It’s just two weeks but it seems like decades since I’ve gone for a run and I feel SOO FREAKING GUILTY. ugh.
On the brightside, it has truly made me realize how much i LOVE running and working out, even though I always dread it on the surface. Deep down I LOVE it. and I cannot wait for this semester to finally be over so I can get back into it!
Had an exhausting day, but still made it to the gym after class at 10pm to get in a 3 miler. I was not feeling it, but kept going and finished at around 37min. Watching ssssssexy Chris Evans as Captain America definitely helps ;)
I have a 5 mile run scheduled for Saturday, and I’m already getting nervous >.<
Goodnight <3

40 minutes on elliptical tonight, burned 500 calories. Which is great, because I had a small bag of Raisenettes (my fave!) during class tonight and felt really guilty. Other than that, I ate great today and am really pumped for this diet still! Woohooo

Monday was supposed to be Strength training but I didn’t get to the gym.
Today, I am proud to say I got a 4 mile run in! And on top of that, I semi-started the Paleo diet….I still have some foods that I want to eat before they go bad/so I don’t waste my $ (yogurt, bread, etc), but otherwise, I ate great. Didn’t weight today but I am going to weigh-in tomorrow morning and then not weigh again for 30 days!

If anyone has any tips/recipes/websites regarding Paleo, I would appreciate it. I went grocery shopping for food, and let me tell you, it was a LOT harder than I was expecting. Not sure how I’ll be able to pull this off, but I am setting in mind to it!

About to do the Gaucho Gallop 5K at the UCSB Alumni Weekend! Myself (far left) and my old roommates Mel and Kenzie
(edit: the first picture is my reaction because she doesn’t know how to put on a bib…it was her first official race!)

Anyone try it or know anything about it? My roommate is doing it, has been losing weight, and I found out that it’s not as expensive as I originally thought.
I’ve had a really shitty week. Didn’t do any 15k training and ate horribly. There are no excuses. On top of that, I’m in Santa Barbara for Alumni weekend and went downtown last night, got drunk, was out til 2:30am, and had the Gaucho Gallop 5k at 9am. It was a horrible idea, to say the least, and it was my slowest 5k to date. Oh well, you live, you learn.
It’s not too big a deal, but I ran a mile in 11:09. Shaving seconds off every run, and pushing myself more and more whenever possible! 2 miles total tonight. Watched a lil bit more of “Man on a Ledge”….it’s getting really good! I think I have about 20 min left. I’ll save it for my run next week. Have a great friday, fellow fitblrs!!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who found my ramblings interesting enough to continue reading! We’re in this together!! Keep kicking butt!
It’s the next Hunger Games, if you haven’t read it yet, do so IMMEDIATELY (please)!!!!!!!
I just downloaded a whole mess of new action-packed movies to watch on the treadmill while I’m running, and tonight I started “Man On A Ledge.” So far, it’s great! I did 3 miles in 35:25, which probably would have shaped up to be a 5k record had I kept going. Feel great! I love how easy it is to run 3 miles (well, easier) compared to when I first started! Woohoo! Now time for a late dinner and an episode of True Blood - I just started season 1!
